Obituary for Alberta "Allie" E. Bishop (Doherty)
Alberta “Allie” Evelyn (Doherty) Bishop passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the W.G. Bishop Nursing Home. Alberta was 102 years old. She was born on February 12, 1920 daughter of the late John Doherty and Lelia (Legassie) Doherty. Alberta is survived by her daughter Donetta Madore; daughter-in-law Mildred Bishop; son-in-law Bill Adams; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by her parents; husband Gray Bishop; son Manford Bishop; daughters, Gayle Brogan and Marsha Adams; son-in-laws, Douglas Madore and Floyd Brogan; brothers, Purdy and Alfred Doherty; sisters, Pearl, Greta, Hazel, Juanita, Shirley and Bernice.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Chipman Funeral Home Memorial Chapel from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm where a celebration of Alberta’s life will be held at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow the Red Bank United Church Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Alberta made to the W.G. Bishop Nursing Home would be greatly appreciated by the family.
