It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of Arthur Ronald Irvine, husband of Judy (Coburn) Irvine. Arthur passed away quietly in his sleep on October 11, 2022 at the York Care Centre. Born on May 21, 1937 in (Marysville) Fredericton.
Before going to York Care Centre Arthur and Judy resided at Davidson Lake and they spent 16 years at their winter residence in Florida. Many of those in Zephyrhills where they had many fun times and friends.
Arthur was the son of Arthur and Hilda (Peterson) Irvine both deceased. Arthur and Judy were also predeceased by their daughter Bethany and son Arthur Jr.
In Arthur's younger years, he was in the Boy Scouts and Air Cadets, he loved boxing and was a good friend of Yvonne Durelle. He was also a lifelong member of the Knights of Pythias. Arthur had a lot of bad accidents during his life, one of them left his right side paralyzed. He loved the Montreal Canadiens and the New York Yankees. He spent approximately 35 years working for NB Power.
He is survived by his wife Judy, brother Bill, niece Kimberley Buckley (Jack), nephews Calvin and Garrett Buckley, nephew Billy Irvine, sister Linda (John) Bamford, nieces Vicki Bamford, Cindy (Andrew) Shorn and great niece Ashleigh Schorn; son-in-law Richard McQuinn, daughter-in-law Ivy and her two sons Chris and Paul McKone and grandchildren. In-laws Donna and Gordon Feeney, Debbie and Steve Stairs, Elaine McFarland (Art deceased), Tommy and Cheryl Coburn and several nieces, nephews and cousins Canada wide.
The family would like to thank all the staff at York Care center for the excellent care they gave Arthur during his stay while he was a resident. Service arrangements are incomplete at this time.
