Obituary for Austin Jack Estabrooks

The family of Austin Estabrooks are saddened to announce his sudden passing at the Saint John
Regional Hospital on November 19th, 2022. Born on January 1st, 1944, he was the son of Harold and
Clarissa (Case) Estabrooks.

Born and raised in Waterville, Sunbury Co., he worked as a Health Inspector for most of his life, retiring
from the Government in the mid 1990’s. His true passions were hunting, fishing, shooting and working
on guns like his father did before him. He was a dedicated family man spending weekends camping and
fishing with his family.

Austin is survived by his loving wife, Shirley (Jones); 3 children, Jamie (Stacey), Jeffrey (Wendy)
and Jodi (Shawn); 7 grandchildren, Gracee, Locklyn, Taylor, Tyler, Tyra, Rachael, and Little
Austin; sisters, Beryl Johnstone (Bub) and Linda Schamahorn (Gary); sisters-in-law, Ann
Estabrooks (Joe), Annie Jones, Shirley Jones, Claire Jones; brothers-in-law, Jim Sarty and Daryl
Reimer; nieces and nephews

He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Joe; brothers-in-law, Tom, Arthur, Paul and Donnie;
sisters-in-law, Linda, Pearl (Stanley), Grace and Isabel (Lee).

He will be missed by many, especially dear close friends including Mike McNeil, Norman
Mawhinney, Wayne Craig, John Lockerbie, Louie Cassie, Jim Peters and many others.

There will be a celebration of Life for Austin at the Geary Lions Club on Saturday, November 26th,
2022 between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. All are welcome to attend and share in Austin’s wonderful
life.

For those who wish, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his
family.
