The death of Brian Edward McKiel of Minto, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Friday, December 16, 2022.  Brian was a kind, loving husband, father, papa, brother, nephew and last but not least a friend to so many.  He was very talented musician, guitar player and entertainer.  He played all around New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. 

Brian will be missed and never forgotten by his wife, Shelley; son Matt (Julia) McKiel; chosen sons, Paul (Tammy) Vail, Sterling Vail, Gregory (Debra) Vail , Noel McIntyre; daughters, Lena Vail (Dave McNamara, special son and friend), Stephanie (Simon) Haynes; special chosen family Gloria Doucette, Denise (Johnny Cormier) Doucette, Anita Doucette (Jason Michaud), Michael (Stacey) Doucette and Marcel Doucette; brothers, Danny (Pearl) McKiel, David (Debbie) McKiel; uncle Johnny (Liz) McKiel, uncle Freddy Colette and aunt Nellie Mae (Angus Mills) Barton; grandchildren, Nicole Rideout (Jared Nairn), Tyler Vail, Emily McKiel, Alyssa Vail, Trent Vail-McIntyre and Thomas McIntyre; brothers-in-law, Mike (Ann) Cummings, Rocky Cummings, Wayne (Cynthia) Cummings; sisters-in-law, Wanda (Regan) Vail and Debbie (Danny) St. Thomas; mother-in-law Violet Cummings. And many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Lila and Angus McKiel; brother Larry McKiel; step-son Jason; daughter Trish-Ann; father-in-law Robert Cummings and special friend Alfred Doucette. 

No visitation or service at this time.  A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Brian made to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
