Obituary for David Allison Johnson

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of David Allison Johnson, announce his sudden passing on March 21, 2023, at the age of 55. He was the son of Barbara (Williams) Johnson and the late Allison Johnson.

David started at a very young age working in the woods alongside his dad, driving a tractor and using a chainsaw. It would become his full time career and business. He has cut many acres of woodland across the southern half of the province. He would work on properties with very steep terrain that no one else would dare venture. He was not very big in stature but he sure could hold his own.

David loved everything about nature. He loved being in the woods. He loved to sit on his front deck in the evening watching the deer, birds and butterflies, while listening to the waterfall he made, looking over his pond and freshly manicured lawns and flowers. David loved music of all sorts and he loved to play it loudly. He also liked to play the harmonica. He would proudly tell you his Grandfather Williams played the harmonica too.

He will live on in the hearts of his loving partner of 10 years Shelley McCarthy, his mother, Barbara Johnson, sisters Christine (Raymond) Grant, Elaine (Bill) Gowan, brother Mark, as well as his nieces and nephews.

There will be no viewing or service at this time. A private memorial service will be held in the summer, David’s favourite time of year. Donations in memory of David may be made to the charity of your choice.
