Obituary for Deborah Rose Mitton (Dupuis)

In loving memory of Deborah Rose Mitton
August 5th 1951 – May 18th 2023

Deborah passed away after a brief but valiant battle with brain cancer on May 18th,. She was peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her final hours at the Regional hospital. She is survived by her loving husband Keith, their three children, Keith Jr (Nancy), Sara (Mike) and Rebecca (Steve) and many grandchildren (Madison, Logan, Emma, Eric, Bridget, Fiona, Craig, Lauren, and Owen) and great grandchildren (Payten and Aurora). Deborah is also survived by siblings Joanne (Bernard), Margie (Rick), Stephen (Jeanine), Gerard and Leo as well as many, many nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly. Sadly, Debbie is predeceased by both her parents William and Mary Dorothy Dupuis as well as her oldest sibling and loving brother Paul (Linda) who had passed away after his own health complications earlier this year.

Debbie was born and raised in Saint John. She loved her parents and kissed their picture each night before bed. She was the middle child of a large family and enjoyed the busyness of it all. She met her forever sweetheart, Keith at age 16 and they have been inseparable since. Together they started a life and a family in Hampton, New Brunswick.
A passion for Debbie and her husband was their gardens that brought many admirers. They loved the arrival of spring and getting outside.

Debbie was a woman of many talents. She loved painting, embroidery, and writing and created many pieces of excellent work. She was writing new stories until her illness this year and has had multiple novels published. She enjoyed history, scary stories and the supernatural and she wished to go to space. Her imagination never ceased and kept her entertained for all her days.  Debbie loved her family and friends and always wanted the best for everyone around her.

The family will be welcoming visitors to celebrate Debbie on the Belleisle Bay, 27 Ganong Lane, Kiersteadville, on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Charitable donations are not requested but instead Deborah would like you to do something nice for yourself and to have a wonderful day.

Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Chipman Funeral Home & Crematorium (506-339-6612). Memories and condolences may be shared through www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca.
