Obituary for Elizabeth Morrison

Elizabeth was born in New Maryland, the daughter of Ruby Kirk Hamilton and Arthur Hamilton. She died on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 8, 2022.

After Elizabeth graduated from FHS in 1963 she moved to Montreal to study classics at George Brown University. She worked at Time Magazine in Montreal and enjoyed the experience immensely! She married Claude Morrison in Montreal and the next year they returned to Fredericton.

She spent the rest of her working career as secretary to the deputy minister of Agriculture. She enjoyed showing and breeding Russian Blue and Himalayan cats. She was a wonderful chef, cooking intricate meals from India and Asia several times a year for friends and family. She was also an amazing knitter and sewer, crafting fine garments.

Her daughter Jennifer Savoie, grandson Xander Savoie and son Stewart Morrison, partner Anita and granddaughter Emma all reside in Fredericton.

She was predeceased by her partner Claude in 2020.

As per Elizabeth's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. In remembrance the family requests donations to the Fredericton SPCA. Please feel free to leave messages for the family through www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca.
