Obituary for Evelyn Elfreda Smith (Knox)
Evelyn Elfreda Smith of Fredericton, NB passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday, November 11, 2021. Evelyn was born in Hardwood Ridge, NB on May 7, 1933 daughter of the late Woodford and Freda (Myers) Knox.
Evelyn is survived by her husband Newton and her two sons, Robert Fanjoy and Ken (Marsha) Fanjoy; step-sons, Craig Smith, Shawn Smith and Toby Smith; step-daughters Heather (Edward) Reynolds and Rhonda (Mike) Pollock; brother Max Knox; and grandchildren Billy and Becky Fanjoy.
Evelyn was predeceased by her parents; two sisters and 6 brothers.
She loved business and fashion and worked in clothing stores until owning her own very successful store Evelyn’s Fashions in Edmonton Alta. She was talented as a Seamstress, Property owner, Bridge Player and so much more. She and Newton enjoyed the sunshine in Port Orange Fla 6 months at a time for 24 years. Mom was a dynamic personality who was loved and will be sorely missed.
A graveside committal service will be held at the Red Bank United Church Cemetery on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
