Obituary for Faye Marie Murray ( Scribner)

The passing of Faye Marie Murray of Maquapit Lake, NB occurred at the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital on June 17, 2022. Born on August 25, 1945 in Minto, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fred & Effie (Upton) Scribner.

Faye will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 60 years, Lloyd Murray. She leaves behind a son, James Murray (Rosette) and a daughter, Cathy Murray, along with four beautiful grandchildren Brody Stewart (Marie), Taylor Faye Stewart (Noah), Chantal Murray and Alex Murray. Brothers, Vernon Scribner, Ron Scribner (Dawn). Sisters, Verna Boulter, Jean Phillips, Lynda Gale (Mark) and ‘chosen’ sister Kathy Gallant. Many nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with her parents she was predeceased by her angel daughter Judith Ann Murray and brothers Howard Scribner, Alvin Scribner, Calvin Scribner and sisters Muriel LeBlanc (George) and Joan Gilbert (David). Brother-in-law Gilmore Phillips (Jean) and sister-in-law Mary Scribner (Vernon).

Faye enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved her family and friends who in turn thought the world of her. She enjoyed singing, music, playing cards, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy and being outdoors.

She was known for her resilience, sense of humour and optimistic attitude with her seven year battle with cancer. In keeping with Faye’s wishes there will be no visitation or formal funeral service. A graveside celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Byno Cemetery in Lakeville Corner, NB. There will be no reception to follow.
