Obituary for Francis “Frank” Anthony Britten

It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved Father and loving Husband Francis “Frank” Anthony Britten. Frank passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton NB, May 29, 2022 surrounded by his girls.

Frank was predeceased by his parents Mathilda and Lloyd Britten, and beloved brother Lowell. He survived by his wife Carol Ann; daughters Meaghan (Justin) Suitor and Sarah (Jacob) Lamey; granddaughters Abby and Tilly; brothers Mike (Valerie) and Matt (Shelley); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Frank had many interests and was a self proclaimed jack of all trades with many hobbies. He especially enjoyed wood working, and making knives for others. Most recently, he could be found lending a hand with Harvey’s Distillery Big Fiddle Still.

Frank was a devoted employee of NB Power, retiring in 2021 after 40 years of service with the company. Frank took immense pride in the work he did for NB Power.

Frank will always be remembered for his jokes and story telling. He was a man of many stories and knew something about everything.

Frank will be missed beyond measure and will be remembered forever. A celebration of life will be held for Frank at Kelly Hill Farm on June 11th from 4pm to 9pm. The family requests that donations be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada

Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Chipman Funeral Home & Crematorium (339-6612). Memories and condolences may be shared through www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca.
