It is with such sadness we announce the passing of the one of kind George Palmer. An amazing brother, father and friend. George was born on September 23,1963 to the late Lloyd and Nina (Underhill) Palmer.
George leaves behind to mourn sisters; Debbie Fidler (Bryant), Jean Lemon (Mike) and Grace Melanson (Ivan); children: Courtney Palmer (grandson, Ryder Smith) and Jimmy Palmer; many friends which George considered family. George lived by his own rules and this is why we loved him.
George's zest for life was truly out of this world. Someone who really knew the meaning of living each day to its fullest. His laughter and smile was infectious and he charmed everyone he met.
George's battle with lung cancer was admirable and his will, strength and determination to never give up was most evident throughout the last 8 months.
George was good to those he loved and always played by his own rules. We’ll never get another brother, father or friend like him.
He's left behind some amazing memories for each of us to share and hold in our hearts forever. He sought an adventure everyday, his love for the woods, fishing, and hunting was a lifestyle for him and often people had wondered if he was the real "mountain man " He loved to take his loved ones on these adventures and if you were lucky enough to tag along on one, you can bet you’ll never forget it!
A celebration of George’s life will be held at the Chipman Funeral Home on Friday, March 31, 2023. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 PM until 2:45 PM.
