Obituary for Janet Lynn Betts (Kadey)

It is with great sadness the family of Janet Lynn Betts announces her death at Hospice House Fredericton on January 11, 2022. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed more than anyone can imagine.

Janet enjoyed many things in life before her long battle with cancer the past 3 years. She enjoyed her daily walks, working in the garden and making sure the grass was never too long. She enjoyed spending time with good friends as well as vacations with family. She also found great joy in telling others about her hope in a better future promised in the Bible and she did so right to the end. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses Janet is looking forward to the fulfillment of Revelation 21:4 which says “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Janet is survived by Clifford her loving husband of 45 years, her daughter Patricia, grandsons Sebastian and Oliver, sisters Darlene (Michael) Lewis, Joyce (Anthony) Bourgeois, brother Darren (Lisa) Kadey and nephews Ryan and Adam. Janet was predeceased by her parents Clayton and Myrtle (Robinson) Kadey and her son-in-law Collin Rutter.

Special thanks to all the extra mural nurses, as well as the doctors and nurses at the palliative care unit and all the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Hospice House Fredericton.

No Visitation. A virtual service will be held on a later date. Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Chipman Funeral Home Ltd & Crematorium. (339-6612). Memories and condolences may be shared through www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca.
