Obituary for Mabel Louise O'Leary (McCutcheon)

The passing of Mabel Louise O’Leary, wife of the late Douglas O’Leary occurred on August 30, 2022 at the White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction, NB. Born on March 3, 1926 in Magaguadavic, NB. She was the daughter of the late Adelbert and Violet (Milbury) McCutcheon.

Mabel is survived by her daughter Linda Canney and son-in-law Bill of Beaver Dam; grandsons Troy Brewer (Andrew Nordstrom) of Cambridge, ON and Trevor Brewer (Lisa) of Beaver Dam. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Jacob, Noah and Oxonna; her sister Melva Isley of Vancouver, BC; brother-in-laws, Herb and Phillip O’Leary of Beaver Dam and sister-in-law Marie Charters of New Maryland; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mabel was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph, Winston and Chester; sister Shirley.

Mabel was a teacher for 41 years retiring in 1987. She loved her family, her church and her community. She enjoyed the many gatherings she organized over the years.

The family took great comfort and would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the White Rapids Manor for the love, care and respect they have shown towards our loved one during her time there.

At the request of Mabel and her family there will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be an interment at the St. John’s Cemetery in Beaver Dam at a later date.

For those who wish to do so, remembrances may be made to the Holy Trinity Church, Building Fund, 1224 Route 101, Nasonworth, NB, E3C 2C4 or the charity of their choice.
