Obituary for Marguerite "Marg" Marie MacPherson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marguerite (Marg) MacPherson on December 09, 2022. Born in Pokemouche (near Caraquet) NB on January 25, 1954. Marg was the daughter of the late Melvina Savoie Douthwright, a sister to Mona, Rita, Anita, George and Frank; all of whom predeceased her.
She leaves behind her soulmate Jimmy Akerley, and loyal pet Lulu; daughter Isabelle Ashfield (Seth); step daughter Tammy Astle (Teddy); grandchildren Kierra and Allyssa Rock (John); great- grandchildren Desirae and Evan Rock; her beloved sister and best friend Celeste McGrath (Paul); nieces, nephews but especially her niece Carole Currie (Jim), nephew Gerry McGraw (Jessie) and great niece Makayla Currie (Austin).
Her diverse knowledge of self-taught skills made her a jack of all trades, in and out of the house. She could operate a chainsaw, a blender, sewing machine, wrench there were no limits of what she was able to do, and do well. She loved to go Ice fishing, fishing, hunting, boating, driving her 4 wheeler, playing guitar, harmonica, sewing, feeding the local deer and stray cats. There was always something to be appreciative for and fill her days.
She was humble and loved giving to others, which she did often in the form of food, muffins, cakes, meals and if you were lucky enough her delicious bread. Marg was very low maintenance, and happiest being one with nature, whether it was playing or working, she loved the outdoors didn’t matter the season, thus a celebration of life will be held at a later date for extended family and friends at BYNO cemetery, Lakeville Corner, NB.
She will be sadly missed by many, but especially by those who she allowed to really get to know her.
