Obituary for Mary Ann Sproul (Mercer)

Today we celebrate the life of Mary Ann Sproul, wife of the late Stan Sproul.  Born on June 15, 1950 daughter of the late Ken and Grace Mercer.

Mary Ann worked at the Sussex Vale Transition House for 30 plus years, making many life long friends and memories along the way.  She loved life and always put others before herself.  She lived a simple life, caring for all those around her and her smile told it all, how caring and loving she was and had a heart of gold.  She could bring a smile to anyone’s face.  Mary Ann truly did believe in the little things, making someone’s life a little brighter, the great outdoors, going for a drive, but most of all another day to spend with “her family” whom she loved dearly.

Mary Ann leaves her four “twisted” sisters, Susan, Cathy, Jane and Nancy (John Murray) here on earth to look after things for her and see that her legacy lives on.  She is survived by her children, Kimberley (Dave Leaman) Darcy, Zackary (Miranda MacKay); grandchildren, Colton, Hailey, Aiden and Layne; great-granddaughter Odessa, along with several nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann is predeceased by her husband Stan Sproul; parents Ken and Grace Mercer; brother Roger Mercer; brothers-in-law Bob Anderson and Bob Alexander.

Anyone wanting to make a donation could be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
