Obituary for Mary Ann Barton
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Ann Barton announce her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 9, 2022 at the age of 57, surrounded by her family. Mary was born in Saint John, NB on September 23, 1964 daughter of George Barton and Loretta (LeBlanc) Boyle. She is survived by both of her parents, her loving partner Donald Folkins; son Michael Barton (Jessica), beloved grand children Kaelan, Bryson and Thomas; step-mother Fran; sister Linda Robichaud (Kim Beckett); step-sisters, Michele Pitre-Tacey (Travis Mowatt) and Lori Ward (Rick); step-brother Joey Pitre (Della); nephews David and Stephen Robichaud and her many friends.
Mary's first love was her family and she was devoted and proud of each and every family member. Many describe her as having a heart of gold. Mary was very creative and many of us have the gifts that show off that talent. Any one that knew Mary will remember that she kept that 'awe' from childhood. Seeing a cardinal or bluejay up close or travelling to another place with unexpected incredible views always brought that certain beautiful look of awe to her face.
Memorial donations in memory of Mary made to the Local SPCA or the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
