It's is with great sadness to announce the passing of Simone Lavoie at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 1, 2023 with her family by her side. Born in Minto, NB on May 10, 1954 the daughter of Alexina (Martin) and Roland Lavoie.
Simone's most prized possessions was her beautiful orange charger. She loved playing cards an lock with her close friends and family.
Simone's career was doing home care for Dows Quality Home Care for many years where she was well cherished by her employer and clients. She will be greatly missed by a lot in the community as she touched so many people in different ways especially her morning coffee at Timmies where everyone knew her.
Simone leaves behind a son Curtis Baskin Jr. (Michaela) of Plumwesweep, NB and daughter Yvonne Lavoie (Timmy) of Smtihs creek; brothers, Thomas, Charlie and Luke Lavoie; sisters, Rolande Roy, Lucienne Lloyd, Leona MacKay and Yolanda Lavoie; grandchildren, Marshall Lavoie (Steven) of Newtown, Frank Alward of Smith's Creek, Nicole Alward (Ryan) of Penobsquis; great-grandchildren, Halle Lynn and Audrina Ann Marie.
Predeceased by siblings, Robert, Marcel and Fernand Lavoie; sisters, Madeline Lavoie and Lydia Tracy.
