Obituary for Thelma Yvonne DiAdams (Upton)

It is with great sadness that her family announces the peaceful passing of Thelma Yvonne DiAdams at Hospice House in Fredericton.

Thelma was born and raised in Chipman, NB on September 9th, 1940, to Greta and Harold Upton.

Thelma is survived by and will be dearly missed by her husband and soulmate of 63 years, Fred, her sons Kevin and Darren (Stacey), her grandchildren Joel (Alexia), Patrick (Brittany), Marcus (DJ), Logan, and Megan, and 5 great-grandchildren, Dalton, Conner, Sophia, Braelyn, and Araya-Mae. She will also be fondly remembered by lifelong friend Kaye MacVicar and close friends Nila McRae and Zonya Dykeman.

In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her daughter, Natalie, and her daughter-in-law, Shelley.

In honour of Thelma’s wishes, there will no visitation or service at this time. For those who wish, donations in memory of Thelma to Hospice House Fredericton would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Weep not for me though I have gone
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my soul’s sweet flight
I am at peace, my soul’s at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love, I was so blessed
For all those many years
There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life
