Obituary for Theresa Carlotta Kincade (Paterson)
The family of Theresa Carlotta Kincade sadly announces her passing which occurred after a brief illness at her home in Cody’s, NB on June 27, 2023.
Theresa was born at home in Canaan Forks on April 12, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Effie (Small) and Robert Paterson and wife of the late Arthur Kincade. She was also predeceased by 2 infant children: Christopher and Jennifer; her siblings: Robert Jr., Wallace Jr., Donald, Kenneth, Stella and Mable.
Theresa is survived by her sons: David of Cody’s and Douglas (Heather) of Plumweseep; 4 grandchildren: Michaela Kincade, Cassie Kincade (Colin Mason), Christopher Welton (Victoria Jones) and Emily Kincade (Blake Douthwright); 4 great grandchildren: Twyla, Aleah, Myles & Hayden; her sister: Barbra Woods of Salisbury and several nieces and nephews.
Theresa was kind, joyful and funny and was a natural in the kitchen. She enjoyed hosting family dinners and gatherings, baking bread, pies and rolls and was a fabulous cook! Pickling was also one of her specialties. We are lucky to have some of her best recipes. Theresa had many hobbies which included knitting, gardening, playing cards, reading a variety of books, doing word puzzles, watching hockey and British TV.
In her younger years Theresa worked as a waitress and then started a career at the Sussex Health Centre where she worked until her retirement. She had many co-workers that turned into friends.
Theresa was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all who met her. She will be greatly missed by all.
At her request there will be no visitation or service.
