Obituary for Vera Priscilla Caswell (Gallant)
Our beloved mother, Vera Priscilla Caswell, age 95 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at her home in Newcastle Centre, NB. Vera was born in Jackson Maine on January 5, 1928 the daughter of the late Thomas and Greta (Mullin) Gallant.
Vera is survived by her son Daryl (Theresa); daughters, Debbie Pollick, Carolyn (Gerald) Young and Bonnie (Hazen) Wheeler; step-son Richard (Marie) Caswell; sisters Mabel Green and Agnes Richard; grandchildren, Shawn, Dwayne, Jennifer, Chris, Pam, Jeff, Tammy, Ricky, Angie, Michael and Robbie; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; special niece Barb Mercier; many nieces and nephews.
Vera was predeceased by her first husband Goldwin Wasson and her second husband Richard Caswell; son Wayne, grandchildren, Jody, Saralee and Peter Mark; sisters, Rita, Irene, Laura and Pat; brothers, Joe and Eddie Gallant.
A funeral service will be held at the Newcastle Creek United Baptist Church on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be made in the Newcastle Creek Extension Cemetery following the service.
Donation’s in memory of Vera made to the Newcastle Creek United Baptist Church, or New castle Extension Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
