Obituary for Violet "Ella" Dianne Bishop (Browne)

The family of Violet “Ella” Dianne Bishop are deeply saddened to announce her peaceful passing on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Hospice Fredericton. Ella was born in Fredericton, NB on April 14, 1943 daughter of the late Earle and Violet (Chapman) Browne. Ella is survived by her husband of 60 years Vernon Bishop; son Jack (Wendy); daughters, Pam (Mancel) Campbell and Wendy Yerxa (Tyler); grandchildren, Alicia Campbell (Graham), Travis Bishop (April), Megan Yerxa (Kirt), Brandon Bishop (Sarah), Allie Rumble (Dimitri); brother Earle Browne; sisters, Elsie Thorne, Helen Sproule; great-grandchildren Ava and Briggs Campbell, Gracie and Ben Bishop. All the grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought so much joy to her life.

Predeceased by her parents; siblings Ramona Williams, Esther Dunn, Irvine Thorne, Dora Tunney, Dale Thorne and infant daughter Bonnie Lee.

Ella had three wishes for her life, to marry her sweetheart, have a family and to be a teacher and she fulfilled all three wishes. Her family was very important to her and although having cancer three times and a heart attack while she was young she was able to enjoy many years with her family and to see her precious grand children grow up and start their own families.

Ella loved teaching and touched many young lives during her 32 years before having to retire due to health reasons.

Visitation will be held at the Chipman Funeral Home on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm (masks required). A celebration of Ella’s life will be held from the Second Chipman United Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gerald Burke officiating.

Donations in memory of Ella made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. Interment will be made in the Second Chipman United Baptist Cemetery at a later date.

Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Chipman Funeral Home Ltd. & Crematorium. (339-6612). Memories and condolences may be shared through www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca
